Hallé Orchestra Side-by-Side Concert

“Congratulations to Elizabeth Y12 (French horn) and Vinchy Y13 (oboe) who, as members of Manchester’s pres-tigious Hallé Youth Orchestra, performed at the Bridgewater Hall on Sunday 1st February in a Side-by-Side concert, working with professional members of the main adult Hallé Orchestra.

Our Trinity musicians performed in Frontispiece by contemporary female South Korean composer Unsuk Chin, followed by an outstanding rendition of Mussorgsky’s celebrated Pictures at an Exhibition. It is very exciting that Vinchy, as well as Trinity alumnus Ben (who achieved Grade 9s in their GCSE Music in 2024), have both been offered places to study their instruments (oboe and the viola) at the UK’s best Conservatoires. Congratulations to all.”
