Homework Focus

Homework is an essential part of a child’s learning at Trinity. After October half term, we are re-emphasising KS3 homework completion. As a parent, you can support your child by downloading and monitoring the Satchel One app. This is where you will see what homework is set and when it is due. If your child is unable to do their homework please write a note for them to give to their teacher.

Students will get Homework Credits for early completion/great homework/completing the bonus task. “No HW” will be logged if they miss a homework with no good reason.

You will be able to see this in the ClassCharts app. Students who miss two homeworks in a week will get a supportive deten-tion after school the follow-ing week to help them catch up and plan ahead so they don’t have the same issue in future. You will also be informed of these detentions on ClassCharts.

• Year 7 detention – after school on Tuesdays.
• Year 8 detention – after school on Wednesdays.
• Year 9 detention – after school on Thursdays.

We hope that all students complete their homework each week and there is support available in the LRB each day after school to help them with this.

We are aware of some issues with students logging into Satchel One from home and we are supporting students to ‘log on’ at home using two factor authentication. If you are having any issues with this, please let us know.
