Inspiring Engineers
From Head of Engineering, Mr Barnes:
“Our Year 7 Inspiring Engineers Club is coming to a completion in the next few weeks. We have been working with a professional engineering company called Mott MacDonald on a ‘Disaster Relief’ project. Every week since January, a team of mentors from Mott MacDonald have been coming in to school to work with our future engineers on designing and making bridges for an island hit by a natural disaster. The photographs show the teams with their completed bridges. The project will conclude with a test of the bridges to see how much weight they can hold. We will then have a trip to the offices of Mott MacDonald where our students will experience the working environment of professional engineers. The project has been a huge success and has certainly inspired many of our young engineers at Trinity. A massive thanks to Matt and the team at Mott MacDonald.”
