Marcus Rashford ‘In The Box’ Christmas Campaign
Last term, our House Leaders arranged for the school to be involved in the Marcus Rashford ‘In The Box’ Christmas Campaign. The initiative involved creating boxes for the homeless in Manchester, to support some of Manchester’s biggest homeless shelters, including Barnabus, Centrepoint, Lifeshare and Shelter. Students and staff were asked to fill a shoebox with essential items to be distributed to those in greater need over the festive period. The kind and generous nature of the Trinity community shone and we were delighted to be able to able to donate a large number of shoeboxes.
One of our Year 7 students, Lumyah, decided to write to Marcus Rashford about the initiative and it certainly got the attention of the Manchester United star! He shared Lumyah’s note with his 7.8million followers on Instagram and it received an incredible 341,220 ‘likes’! Well done to all of those involved.
