Musical Success Stories

From Director of Music, Mrs Madden:

“Congratulations to Vinchy, Year 12, and former student Ben, who both achieved the top grade of 9 in GCSE Music and were both awarded places on oboe and viola in Manchester’s prestigious Halle Youth Orchestra, following in Ini’s footsteps! Vinchy has also succeeded in her auditions to join the National Youth Orchestra!

We are also very proud that several of our Trinity steel pan players performed at Hulme Carnival in August with One Education Music’s My Steel – the students were very dedicated, rehearsing across several days in the lead up to the carnival, and on the day, performed on a parade float, entertaining the crowds and contributing to the whole festival atmosphere. Congratulations to Finn, Lila, Lydia, May, Carmen, Sophia, Taijaun and Ashaun who played alongside Trinity alumni Jessica and Ali, our two fantastic Steel Pans teachers Mr Calame and Mr Ramsay, and other talented steel pan players from across the city.”
