National Year of Reading 2026
From new LRB Supervisor, Ms Berrington:
“I joined the school in January as the LRB supervisor and I’m loving my experi-ence so far, thank you to staff and students alike for making me feel so welcome.
I held an impromptu craft session recently, creating bookmarks and badges with a group of enthusiastic students ahead of the Junior Librarian launch on Thursday 4th February.
As part of the National Year of Reading 2026, the LRB will be seeing some big changes. We’re encouraging students, staff and parents to ‘Go All In’ and promote read-ing in all forms, novels, non-fiction, audio books, song lyrics, poems, graphic novels, news, magazines, blogs, and manga; all of these count. It is important to read what sparks joy and what interests you. Learn more at: https://goallin.org.uk/
Alongside this will be a brand new team of Junior Librarians helping with book returns, art displays, student engagement, book recommendations and more. We’ve received 65+ signups already and I’m super excited to get started with all my plans guided by the students’ input. Head to the LRB to find out more and get involved.”
Thank you to Ms Berrington for her impressive start to work at Trinity.
