Offer Day

The 1st March 2023 was ‘offer day’ for secondary school places across the city. Of course, we were able to fill all of our 240 places, and in fact, according to the Local Authority we have over 300 more students on our waiting list! If you are reading this and have been unsuccessful in applying for a place, let me assure you that it is literally the sheer volume of applications have resulted in some children being unsuccessful. The governors must use the agreed ‘oversubscription’ criteria in our admissions policy, and unfortunately this does leave some applicants unhappy. Parents and carers who were unsuccessful in gaining a place can ‘appeal’ the decision. This school is exceptional; it has first class facilities in a fabulous location, a remarkably dedicated and talented workforce, a really supportive group of parents and carers, and the most diverse and interesting group of students that I’ve ever had the privilege to work with.
