Parent Governor Vacancy

Are you interested in supporting our school? Are you able to attend five evening meetings per year, and three afternoon committee meetings per year? Would you like to work alongside like-minded people who care about our school? If so, why not apply to become a parent governor?

We currently have a parent governor vacancy and we would be delighted to hear from parents who would be interested in joining us. We would particu-larly welcome nominations from parents from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

The purpose of governance in schools is to provide strategic leadership, accountability and assurance, and strategic engagement, and parents have an important role in fulfilling this aim.

The process will be:

1. Register your interest with Samantha Edwards (see below).
2. If we have more than one nomination, we will ask each parent to write a 200 word statement, to be published in a ballot.
3. The ballot will take place online.
4. The successful governor will be announced.
