Pi Week
From Assistant Head of Maths, Ms Williams:
“In the build-up to Pi Day on 14th March, Trinity had an incredible time celebrating Pi Week!
We hosted our much-loved annual Pi recital, alongside an exciting new Pi relay race packed with pi-themed questions. This year’s recital champion was Keziah in Year 7, who amazed everyone by singing a record-breaking 315 digits of Pi! An outstanding achievement! She was followed by Alfie in Year 10 and Edwin in Year 7, who were our fantastic runners-up.
A huge well done to all who took part – you can wear your new Pi badges with pride.
The KS3 relay race was won by George, Woodrow, Adi and Hin in Year 8, while the KS4 relay champions were Maryam, Emmanuel and Rebecca in Year 11. Their teamwork and quick thinking made for an exciting competition!
These events would not have been possible without the support of our amazing Year 12 and Year 13 mathematicians, who gave their time to help throughout the week. The maths team were blown away by the enthusiasm, participation and brilliant atmosphere created by students.
What a fantastic celebration of maths — we can’t wait to do it all again next year!”
