Political Experiences for our Students

From our Sixth Form Director, Ms Tattum:

“Some of the Sixth Form have been working with a group called Reclaim who are helping young people to understand the political landscape and make them more aware young people. Hadyn in Year 12 writes, “Me, Farida, Chine and Elizabeth took part in a youth husting in Manchester for the Mayoral Election Taking place on the 2nd May. At this event we questioned the mayoral candidates about what we want from them as a mayor. We met the current Mayor (who stood for re-election last week, Andy Burnham). We have also worked on a manifesto for or all young people In Manchester.”

The same students also travelled to London the following day to visit the houses of parliament, they went into the House of Lord and met some mem-bers of the government and shadow government.
