Many of our students have been involved in sporting action this term. Our Year 10 boys’ football team played against Fred Longworth High School in the first round of the English Schools’  Football Cup. Their keeper saved a penalty from Grant before he scored from a distance with his left foot. Mekhi and Adeyeni also scored giving Trinity a 3-0 win. Josh was awarded player of the  match. Also, in the same competition our Y8 Boys played against Denton Community College. We showed desire to win the ball from the very beginning. All students contributed to the 9-0 win  with player of the match going to Lalu.

Our Year 8 and 9 netball teams kicked off their netball season in good style against East Manchester Academy. Year 9’s were fantastic winning 10-0. Player of the match went to Elizabeth and the  Coach’s player award went to Megan.

The Year 7 rugby team really enjoyed playing in their first tournament of the year. The player of the tournament was Chikamso. Our Year 10 and Year 11 girl’s football teams both played their first  matches of the year. Last week the teams played 4 games and didn’t lose any with Daisy scoring 2 great goals on her debut! Our Y8 and Y9 teams were also in action with Kate, Mary, Carly and Aya scoring hat tricks and fantastic defending from Erum and Jahnia!
