Sporting Updates
PE Assistant, Mr Bryan, gives us the latest sporting news:
• Last week was the turn of our Under 13 boys’ team at the Futsal tournament. Great team play, expert finishing and no goals conceded as Trinity won the Manchester Cup with a fantastic performance!
• Our Year 11 girls’ netball team played very well, beating a competitive Manchester Communication Academy. A special mention for Naomi for excellent shooting and Melody who was always calm in defence.
• Our Year 8/9 students really enjoyed taking part in the Sale Harriers athletics competition with teams from Greater Manchester. Gold medals for Muhammad and Jahnia: 60m, Silver for Shakeel: 800m, and for Chris: 200m. Well done to everyone!
• Two of our basketball teams were in action this week. Our Year 8 NBA team were in amazing form, with wins against Philips 23-21 and St Gabriel’s 7-0. A great game from our Under 19 girls’ team in the national cup as they won their first game 59-35 against a tough Xaverian team.
• Our Year 8 boys’ football B team played against Barlow in the League. It was slow to start, but Trinity grew into the game, however the team lost 3-0. Player of the match was shared by Lok and Husain.
