Congratulations to our U’16 boys’ basketball team who are now Manchester champions after beating Didsbury in the final at the National Performance Centre. They have had a tremendous season and played some outstanding basketball displaying fantastic skill and team spirit.
Meanwhile our U14 girls also had another great performance in the English Schools’ Cup. They beat a strong and organised Northampton 67-45.
Our Yr9 boys who were also in top form. They showed their class as they beat St Matthews in the Manchester league.
The U15 boys did very well in the National Handball competition. They were up against some well drilled and organised teams and our boys learned a lot on the day and are now through to the next round.
Our U15 girls’ Football team had their first 11 aside match against Whitworth Community School in the English Schools’ Cup. Our girls started well and took control of the match with some skilful play. Nancy scored 2, with one each from Irene and Abigail in a 4-1 win.
Our U16 girls team travelled to Northampton to play in the English Schools’ Basketball competition. They gave a great team performance from the first minute till the last and deserved to win 86-43.
Finally, the year 8 Girls’ football team were in action in the quarter final of the Manchester Cup. The Trinity girls put in a great performance winning 9-0.
