The Cornick Cup
Last month, we hosted the fourth annual Cornick Cup tournament on our 4G pitches at school. The tournament was established in memory of our dearly loved and much missed colleague, Rob Cornick. Mr Cornick was an English teacher at Trinity for many years, who sadly passed away in 2020. Mr Cornick was always a driving force behind staff football and the Cornick Cup aims to honour this whilst raising money for worthy causes. The tournament brought together current and ex-staff and friends of the school for a series of football matches, with the winning team being presented with the Cornick Cup trophy. This year’s chosen charity was ‘Papyrus: prevention of young suicide’ and we are pleased to report that £822 was raised. Our thanks go to everyone involved and to Mr Scott in school for his organisation of the tournament.
