Vocal Celebration

Ms Madden writes – Our Year 7 Singers enjoyed a fantastic outing to Victoria Baths on Tuesday 20 June to perform alongside 5 other high school choirs as part of the high school music network’s Vocal Celebration 2023! We were joined by our friends from Wright Robinson, Didsbury High, Loreto Chorlton, St Peter’s and Parrswood who all brought wonderful choirs of all ages, singing in a wide range of styles.

Our Y7s were outstanding, singing two songs with such enthusiasm and energy: When I Grow Up and Mr Blue Sky with some fantastic choreography! The whole event was made more special by two joint songs, over 200 singers lifting the roof off the Victoria Baths with the uplifting classic Lean on Me and the brilliantly fun Revolting Children from Matilda.

The audience and performers all enjoyed a wonderful evening full of entertainment and the most amazing performances. Special thanks to One Education and all the high school staff for making this joyful collaboration possible.
