What A Wonderful Set Of Results!
In our 40th year it is a delight to report the ‘best’ examination results Trinity has ever achieved! If the government produces a league table of achieve-ments on the key headline measure this year, we’ll be in second place – beating all the other secondary schools in the city except King David. I’m usually nervous about how a year group will perform, but last year’s Year 11 gave me no cause for concern. Throughout their five years they have been a cohesive and hardworking cohort and navigated the challenges of ‘lockdown’ in Year 7 and associated Covid-19 issues in Year 8 with great
composure. The consistent pastoral support offered by form teachers and their Senior Tutor (Ms Davies) and Pastoral Tutor (Mr Sewell) was first class and deserves recognition.
Teachers in school were delighted to note the achievements and we are pleased that so many students have chosen to stay on at our Sixth Form and are looking forward to two years preparing for university. Naturally (for a comprehensive school), we had a mixture of grades but these students all achieved a statistical average of Grade 9 in all their exams; Robin B, Jemima F, Daisy C, Chelsea B, Haider D, Winielle A and Leila A. The majority of students in the year ‘added value’ on their statistical estimates, and this ‘magnificent seven’ gained an average of 3 grades higher than government predictions in all their subjects; Elijah C, Joy S, Joshua A, Ilham O, Aaean K, Amani O, and Brempomah K. Well done to a fantastic year group.
