What Dreams Are Made Of!

Luke Matheson, one of our GCSE superstars and current student in our Sixth Form, scored for his professional team, Rochdale FC against the mighty Manchester United (whose team included Pogba, Mata and Lingard) at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Aged only 16, Luke is the youngest ever player to score in a league cup match, and to equalise for Rochdale. Luke’s goal took the match to a penalty shootout – an incredible achievement and a dream come true. Luke was cheered on by 20 Trinity students and five members of the pastoral team, who all excitedly leapt to their feet and cheered Luke’s goal before remembering they were United fans in the middle of the Stretford End! An unforgettable evening, created by an amazingly multi talented student. We welcomed Luke back to our Sixth Form first thing on Thursday morning with A-level psychology test!
