Year 11 Geography Field Trips
Teacher of Geography, Ms Adegbite, tells us more: “Last Tuesday and Wednesday, Y11 Geography students went out for their compulsory GCSE field trip in preparation for their GSCE exam. We visited Salford Quays where students did an environmental quality survey assessment of different locations in the area as a requirement to their human geography fieldwork. The group then headed on to River Medlock to complete the physical geography fieldwork requirement. Here, students measured the width and depth of different parts of the river, taking note of changes in depth as we move across the river channel and at different locations. Students conclud-ed by making a field sketch in their booklets. The collated results will be studied and interpreted in the class for their Paper 3 GCSE Geography.”
