Year 11 Mock Interviews

Head of KS4, Mr Cann, tells us more: “Last week, we were delighted to welcome a range of employers to school for our annual Year 11 ‘mock interview’ day. Representatives on the day included Santander, Aecom, Network Rail, Sheppard Robinson Architects and Natwest. The aim of mock interviews is to give students this ‘low stakes’ experience so that they can use the feedback given to support them as they prepare for upcoming interviews to secure their Year 12 courses. For the vast majority of our students, this day will have been their first experience of selling themselves through an interview. Our visitors were incredibly positive about their encounters with our students. One commented on the quality of the responses that they’d received and how so many of the students they’d met through the day came across as wiser than their years in the way they handled the interview experience.”
