Year 11 Photo

From Assistant Head and Head of KS4, Mr Westmoreland:

“The excitement and joy was clear to see on Thursday, 25th April, as the highly anticipated Year 11 photo took place. Students arrived to the sports hall at 8.30am prompt looking pristine, checking each others uniform to make sure that they looked at their fabulous best as they congregated for the memorable occasion. The glorious smiles of the Year 11 cohort were captured, archiving such a poignant time in their lives. This was followed by students having their individual head shots taken; providing an excellent memento for their family to cherish. I am sure that all Year 11s will be eager to receive the order forms which will be handed to students over the coming weeks. All forms and money for which photo package you would like to receive should then be returned to Student Services and students will receive their photo packages before the end of the exam period.

As the main exam period starts on Monday, 13th May, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the students good luck and I am sure that their hard work and efforts will be well rewarded.

A copy of personalised revision programmes outlining the expectations during the exam process has been provided to students. A copy of this can be found on the school website. The key points are as follows:

  • Monday, 13th May – Friday, 24th May: Students are expected to be in all lessons  or  exams,  unless they have  been  granted  study  leave  in the morning prior to a 1.00pm exam. On these occasions students are expected to arrive to school from 12.20pm to ensure a smooth start to the exam.
  • Monday, 3rd June – Wednesday, 19th June: Students will only be required to attend lessons in subjects where they are still awaiting their exam.”
