Youth Buzz Awards

Teacher of Music and Per-forming Arts Technician, Mr Gibson, tells us more:

Two groups of Trinity students took to the stage and performed for invited guests at the annual Youth Buzz awards at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester last week, which celebrates young people and those who dedicate their time to supporting them. Manchester is working with UNICEF UK to put children’s rights into practice and become an internationally recognised ‘Child Friendly City’.

D & M (Dylan and Micah Y9) opened the awards with an inspirational original song, composed, produced and performed by themselves.

Promise (Klara, Grace, Phoebe and Madeeha Y9) rocked out to a Nirvana cover and added a lot to the energy of the night.

Musicians from all over Manchester entered the Rising Stars competition to be chosen to play at the ceremony. Of the four acts performing at the awards, two selected were from Trinity, highlighting the talent and commitment of our music students.
