2026 MEM Challenge & Senior Challenge Competition
From Assistant Head of Maths, Ms Williams:
“During the Spring half term, a number of students participated in the 2026 MEM Challenge and the Senior Challenge Competition — two rigorous, problem-solving activities designed to stretch mathematical thinking over the break.
We are delighted to share that Kamsi and Rithvik (Year 12), along with Victory (Year 8), achieved outstanding scores. Their success earned them invitations to a prestigious awards evening at the University of Liverpool’s Central Teaching Laboratories. They received vouchers for mathematical books and enjoyed a range of activities, including the FunMaths Roadshow, a number trail, and a computer-based quiz. The evening concluded with the presentation of prizes and certificates.
This is a huge achievement as this year there was a total of over 1200 entries for the Challenge and 600 for the Senior Challenge. We run this challenge every year so look out for this again February 2027!”
