Celebrating Earth Day

“For Earth Day this year, we celebrated the theme ‘Our power, Our planet’ by teaching students the joys of plant propagation and growing! Using the plants that around the library, students took cuttings from their desired plant, filled a pot with soil and added the cutting. These will grow roots and grow into entirely new plants, developing just like our students grow and evolve during their time at Trinity. As a plant lover myself, I think it is especially important students connect with nature whilst living in a large, urban city like Manchester, houseplants provide a hands-on way to do that. Happy Earth Day!”
