Ending the Half Term
It has been a very busy half term. Parents’ Evenings, options chosen, Big Tests, Mock Exams all squeezed into less than six weeks! I really do think the staff at school need great thanks for their continued efforts to support your children and young adults both academically and pastorally. I noted in my first newsletter just how important it was that everyone in our community felt ‘safe and respected’ – one of our Trinity Together’ values. I am pleased to report to you that our ‘noticeable increase in sanctions’ have only been used once this half term – it appears that students are recognising their responsibilities to each other and keeping the atmosphere in school very positive.
The next day of strike action by teachers is on Tuesday 28th February 2023. For this strike day we are expecting all Y11’s to be in school. In addition to this, we will be open for the groups that attended on the last strike day – our students with specific reasons to be attending (our invited list) and those of ‘critical workers’. We will send a form for parents and carers to complete to apply for a place after half term.
I wish all our students and their families a very happy half term break.
