UKMT Senior Maths Challenge

Teacher of Maths, Ms Williams, tells us more:

“Last month, it was fantastic to see many of our A-Level mathematicians sitting the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. This is the most senior level of the challenge and presents students with unseen mathematical conundrums that require deep problem-solving skills, so congratulations to all the students that participated.

“Numerous students were awarded with certificates of achievement this year. A special mention must go to Kevin in Year 12 who gained a gold certifi-cate and has therefore qualified for the next round of the competition called the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo. This is an incredible achievement, well done! The experience is invaluable to them as they prepare for their next steps after their A-Levels. Moving forwards, students in Year 7 – 11 will have the opportunity to participate in UKMT Junior and Inter-mediate challenges and more information will be provided nearer to the time.”
