Y7 Singers perform at Vocal Showcase Celebration

Congratulations to our amazing Year 7 Singers who gave an outstanding performance at the One Education Vocal Showcase Celebration at the beautiful Victoria Baths on Tuesday 9th June. Eight different high schools from across Manchester showcased their choirs, ranging in style from pop, gospel and music theatre to Arabic nasheeds and a cappella choral singing, testament to the fantastic diversity and rich musical culture of our city.

Our Year 7s lifted everyone’s spirits with renditions of Avril Lavigne’s Fly and Pharrell Williams’ Happy, with stunning solos and ensemble harmonies, not to mention some uplifting choreography and dancing!

Congratulations to all our Year 7 Singers who were a credit to our school in every way. Thank you to One Education for organising such a fantastic collaborative event and to our fellow performers from Wright Robinson, St Peter’s, The Barlow, Loreto High, Chorlton High, Eden Girls and Parrs Wood. The joy of singing is certainly flourishing in our city!
