Advent Assemblies

Last week, we marked the beginning of Advent – a season of waiting and anticipation as we prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ birth at Christmas. Students explored the meaning behind the Advent calendar before processing through the hall, lighting candles to symbolise bringing light into darkness.

The Sixth Form Singers led reflections through song with ‘Come Light My Heart’ and ‘O Come, O Come Emmanuel’, while prayers encouraged us to think about how we can bring joy to our school, homes, communities and relationships. Our thanks go to our School Chaplain and Director of Music for a thoughtful and inspiring service.
