Aspiring Medics

From our Sixth Form Academic Mentor, Ms Hall:
“Our Year 12 aspiring medics group attended a Surgical Skills Day organised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England at Manchester University last week. Our students gained an insight into what it takes to become a surgeon, as well as taking part in practical sessions such as a suturing and knot tying workshop, and a campus tour. They heard from esteemed consultant surgeons and had the chance to ask current medical students for any tips and advice for their medical school applications – a process that will start in the summer term.”
