Breakfast Meetings

During the last two weeks, “breakfast meetings” have been taking place each morning to discuss the progress of every Year 11 student. The meetings have included members of the Leadership Team, Year 11 Form Tutors and the Year 11 Senior Tutor. Discussions have centred around mock exam results, estimated grades, attendance, punctuality, Sixth Form choices and behaviour and attitude in lessons. The meetings have allowed the school to identify the support and interventions needed for each individual student, so that they can progress and be as successful as possible in their GCSE examinations.

The Year 11 pastoral team, pictured above, is at the centre of support for our Year 11s. We have stated in our Sixth Form publicity that we want ‘hardworking and ambitious’ students to stay with us, and the pastoral and “breakfast” team encourage all Year 11s to continue their hard work both in school and at home.
