Dorothy Heathcote Workshops

From Head of Drama, Mr Cowie:

“Over the last few weeks some of our Year 10 Drama students have been working with an external teaching practitioner focusing on the work of internationally renowned theatre practitioner ‘Dorothy Heathcote’. Through these workshops, the students were exploring the events of the Lancashire cotton industry and being taught the content through the pedagogy of Drama. As part of this conference teachers from different parts of the world such as India, New Zealand, Norway, gathered here at Trinity CE High school to watch the students participate in the workshop observing how the leading practitioner delivered the content. The students who were involved received high praise following the event as the participants commented on their ‘Outstanding focus’ and ‘incredible skills to analyse events given’. They were a great representation of students here at Trinity.”
