GCSE Presentation Evening

Last Friday, the University of Manchester’s magnificent Whitworth Hall played host to our annual GCSE Presentation Evening. We were delighted to welcome all those who finished Year 11 at Trinity last year to this special occasion. Our Guest of Honour was Mr Sajjad Karim, Member of the European Parliament for the North West of England. Mr Karim presented all students in attendance with their GCSE certificates, along with a selection of special awards and subject prizes. A total of 27 ’high achievers’ certificates’ were awarded to students who achieved 7 or more ‘A* – A’ / ‘9-7’ / ‘distinction* – distinction’ grades, as well as 25 individual subject prizes.

The below special awards were presented to the following students:

Contribution to the Musical Life of the School Sarah Roche
Helen Garrod Prize for Performing Arts Imogen McBeath
Prize for Community Service Sandalia Walker
Chair of Governors’ Prize for Progress and Improvement Mateo Forester
Head’s Prize for Service to the School Sarah Roche
Head’s Prize for Best External Examination Results

Out of almost 600,000 students across the country, these two are in the top 800 – a fantastic achievement!
