Half term update
Thank you to all parents and carers for your continued support in ensuring that Trinity remains one of the best attended schools in England. We have had a busy half term and the students have been a credit to yourselves and the school. It was fantastic to see so many students attending the Big Quizzes and this week Heads of Year celebrated all of the credits and achievements awarded during celebration assemblies. Today, staff and sixth form students have celebrated ‘Wear it Pink’ day in support of breast cancer awareness charity Breast Cancer Now. Sixth formers organised a cake sale, a big pink quiz and did henna tattoos to raise money for the charity. Well done to all involved.
We hope that those of you who attended our evening meetings for Years 8, 10 and 11 or our Year 7 Parents’ Evening found these events useful. We always endeavour to maintain positive and helpful communication with home, to keep you informed of key points and events. In addition to reading our newsletter, please do ensure you check in on Class Charts regularly, not only to keep informed of how your child is doing day to day, but to read any relevant announcements.
We return to school on Monday 3rd November 2025, which is a Week A, with a prompt 8:25am start as usual. We have another busy half term ahead of us including Year 11 sixth form entrance exams, Year 12 PSHCE day, Year 11, 12 and 13 Parent’s Evenings, our Presentation Evening for our 2025 leavers at the Whitworth Hall, our Advent Carol Service at St Ann’s Church and our Cathedral Carol Service. Not forgetting our Christmas lunches of course and Occasional Day on Friday 28th November. I hope all readers and their families have a restful and peaceful half term break.
