Industrial Cadets Gold Award
From Head of Engineering, Mr Barnes:
“A team of six students from Trinity Sixth Form has been working hard this year on their Wednesday afternoon enrichment project. The project focused on a large-scale civil engineering challenge involving stormwater overflow treatment.
Throughout the year, the students worked closely with professional mentors from the engineering company Mott MacDonald Bentley. In recognition of their successful participation and achievements, all six students were awarded the prestigious Industrial Cadets Gold Award.
The team recently attended a celebration event at the University of Liverpool, where they presented their project to students from other schools as well as professional engineers. We are delighted to share that the students received the People’s Choice Award, having been voted the best project on display by fellow participants and industry professionals.
Congratulations to Salma, Esther, Jemma, Yahya, Rehan and Abdelrahman on their outstanding work and commitment throughout the year.
We are pleased that this fantastic project, and the valuable opportunities it provides for our students, is expected to run again next year. Students joining Year 12 in September will have the opportunity to select this programme as one of their enrichment options.”
