Manchester Literature Festival

From Assistant Head and Head of English, Ms Kirkham:

“On Wednesday, 10th October, a group of our students (from Year 10) represented Trinity CE High School  at the Take Ten event at Central Library as part of the Manchester Literature Festival. The students had written their creative pieces during workshops with members of The Writing Squad and the aim was to take the reader or listener on a journey to a different world. The project was supported by Read Manchester, aiming to promote the power of reading for ten minutes every day.”

The event was also attended by Cllr June Hitchin, the Lord Mayor of Manchester, who met students and spoke to them about their work with the writing squad.
