Out and about in the Northern Quarter

Last week, Mr Cornick and his Year 13 A Level English Literature students attended a series of lectures on their Shakespeare set text, Othello. After a working breakfast, the students and Mr Cornick took their seats for a series of informative lectures looking at the play’s structure, the presentation of female characters and the history of literary criticism on Othello. Inspired, informed and impressed, the students savoured this “taste” of university style teaching and will be experiencing more when they attend the lectures on their set play, ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, in March.
