Prayer Journey
Last week, our students and staff were invited to a specially created ‘prayer space’ to think and pray about the theme of ‘relationships’. Every break time and lunch time, the Chapel was set aside for a time of creative and interactive prayer, organised by our School Chaplain, the Revd Dr Steve Birkinshaw. As the pictures show, a number of activities were set out in which the children could engage, including thinking about ‘walking a mile in others’ shoes’, a journey of forgiveness with stones, and a ‘saying sorry wall’. The week of prayer was greatly appreciated by all who participated, and the ‘creative prayer space’ will become a regular feature in the life of the school. Our next week of prayer is planned for Advent – watch this (prayer) space!
