Primary School Debating Event

On the theme of debating, Assistant Head and Head of English, Ms Kirkham, tells us about a recent primary school debating event:

“On Wednesday, 23rd January, Trinity were delighted to host a debating event. Forty primary pupils, from 4 of our local Teach Manchester primary schools (St Mary’s, St Paul’s, Ashbury Meadow and Bowker Vale), participated in a range of activities to improve their debating skills. All primary pupils spoke with confidence and were well supported by Trinity students and sixth formers. Thank you to Mrs Emery, Miss Coxon and Miss Holt for leading the activities with such enthusiasm. We look forward to hosting a debate in the Summer term where one primary school will be crowned the debating champions of 2019!”
