Recyclable Products

Our Catering Manager, Mr Clegg, tells us about a new ‘environmentally-friendly’ initiative within school: “We are pleased to announce that Trinity is replacing its single use plastic products with compostable materials. The following consumable products are now in use:

• Compostable pasta containers have now replaced polystyrene containers.
• Paper straws have now replaced plastic straws.
• The usage of polystyrene plates has been reduced by 90% this term.
• The introduction of wooden forks is replacing plastic forks. When students sit and eat inside, they still use traditional cutlery.

Other plastic consumables will be gradually replaced over the coming months with a compostable alternative.”
