Special Visitors

Last week, we were delighted to welcome some special visitors to Trinity. As part of our relationship with the University of Manchester, we hosted a visit for 15 headteachers from schools in Zhejiang, China, accompanied by Belinda Li from the Manchester Business School. The visit was part of a programme for our guests to look at best practice and advanced ideologies in teacher training and classroom teaching in primary and secondary school settings. Our guests spent time touring the school and Sixth Form and were given the opportunity to observe Religious Education lessons. Following the visit, we were honoured to receive the below gifts from our guests:

  • A pair of Chinese knots. These gifts are traditional Chinese handicrafts, handwoven with silk. They represent blessing and peace and the colour red also symbolises happiness and prosperity.
  • A silk scroll. This gift was made from traditional hand-cut paper, with a Peking Opera Flower Mask pattern.
