Sporting News
Mr Bryan, our P.E assistant, tells us all the latest sporting news:
“Once again another busy week for our sporting students.
- Our Year 11 netball team had a great start to the season, winning both of their games.
- In handball, the under 15s boys’ team won 3 games and drew 1 game in their first games of the year.
- Our Year 11 boys’ football team (photo on the right) displayed resilience and hard work to defeat a strong William Hulme team 3 – 2, with a last minute goal from Ejike sealing the win!
- The Year 8 boys worked hard to get the win against Lymm 2 – 1 in the National Football Cup. Anjola was player of the match, scoring the winning goal into the top corner from outside the box.
- A fantastic effort from the KS4 badminton girls who came away with a silver medal after winning all group matches, but lost out 2 – 3 in the final.
- The under 14s girls’ basketball team (photo on the left) were back in action against Levenshulme. We scored early and put in a great team performance winning 72 – 11 with all girls playing equal minutes.”
