Virtual Reality Workshop
Teacher of Geography, Ms Adegbite, tells us more:
“Last Thursday and Friday, the geography department organised a Virtual Reality workshop for our Year 7s. With the use of immersive technology, PrimeVR brought the outside world into the classroom and transported students through time and space, creating some memorable moments and excitement around our just completed ‘Where in the World’ unit. Students visited the Opera House in Sydney along with Christ the Redeemer statue and the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. They had a view of the city that never sleeps – New York, plus the Great Wall of China, Eiffel Tower, and an active shield volcano in Tolbachik, Russia. The reactions from students were priceless which goes to show how amazed they were with the experience.”
