Virtual Work Experience

Course Director of KS5 Engineering, Mrs James, tells us about a great work experience opportunity for our students:
“Before the half term break, a number of our Year 9, 10 and 11 students had the opportunity to attend a Virtual Work Experience Day with Jacobs, a global civil Engineering firm with offices in Manchester.
The day provided a valuable insight into the type of work carried out in the civil engineering industry and the students were able to talk to a range of employees about their jobs and experiences. One of the Jacobs employees was Kenisha Edwards (pictured), who graduated from Trinity in 2019 with a double Distinction in L3 BTEC Engineering. Kenisha is currently completing a degree apprenticeship at the University of Salford whilst also developing and applying her skills at Jacobs. It was so lovely for our students to a see a familiar face, succeeding in her chosen career and I’m very hopeful this will inspire many more students (especially girls!) to follow in Kenisha’s footsteps.
