Visit to Jodrell Bank
From Science Teacher, Mrs Kirkman:
“Last Friday, our Year 13 Physics students enjoyed an inspiring trip to Jodrell Bank, where they explored one of the world’s leading centres for radio astronomy. Students took part in an engaging radio telescope workshop, deepened their under-standing of the start of the universe during a planetar-ium show, and had time to explore the wide range of interactive exhibits around the site. The trip also gave the students a valuable opportunity to see physics in action beyond the class-room and work with real data collected from the worlds third largest fully steerable radio telescope.”
