Y7 Maths Club

Our Year 7 Maths Club has got off to a brilliant start since launching in January, with many students gaining their ‘mathematics badge’ and we’d love to see even more students join us. The club runs every fortnight at 3:15pm in MA4 and is all about enjoying maths beyond the classroom.

The students have taken part in a range of activities including puzzles, relay races, UKMT shuttle questions and Tarsia problems. The focus is very much on teamwork, problem-solving and being challenged in a supportive environment. A highlight of the club is the involvement of our Year 11 and Sixth Form volunteers, who support and work alongside the Year 7’s. This not only helps build confidence with maths, but also provides a great opportunity to develop positive relationships across the year groups.

New members are always welcome, and we would love to see more Year 7 students come along to the next session!
