A-level Results

Welcome back to all our readers. I hope you have had a good summer, and that Autumn can be delayed by at least a few more weeks. This newsletter focuses on the final events of the last week in school, and the pictures above give you a guide to the outstanding success of our Year 13 students in their A-level and BTEC qualifications. We knew this year group would achieve excellent results – as a whole they are ‘hardworking and ambitious’, two words that can also be used to describe our Sixth Form staff and teachers. We have our first cohort of students going on to study and train as doctors, we have A* and A grade students going to study a variety of computing, engineering, and science degrees at the best universities in the UK, and we also have students who are studying the arts, archaeology, sociology…the list goes on. A-level results often lead to students moving from home to study away from home and we hope all of our students, wherever they choose to study, have a great ‘freshers’ week’ and study hard in their first term. If they stay ‘hardworking and ambitious’ they will continue to have great success. We will report on GCSE results in next week’s edition of the newsletter.
