Chinese New Year
From our International Links Coordinator and Teacher of MFL, Ms Walker: “To celebrate Chinese New Year on 12th February, the International Links and MFL team put together some activities. It was a really popular event, in which students were able to learn about aspects of Chinese New Year. Students listened to a video about Chinese New Year, they were shown how to say and write Happy New Year in Chinese, and they also answered questions on an online Kahoot quiz, competing as a whole school. It was a very successful event, which proved to be very popular amongst Trinity students! We’re pleased to announce the winners of our Kahoot Chinese New Year competition:
- Joint 1st and 2nd place: Alain, Year 10 and Richie, Year 8 with 10,000 points.
- Third place: Ellie, Year 10, with 9,936 points.
Huge congratulations to Alain and his dedication in particular, as he entered several times, (whilst also securing the top spot multiple times!) A Chinese lucky cat will be sent home to these three winners this week.
Finally, we’d like to say 新年快乐 Xīnniánkuàilè (= Happy New Year) to all our Chinese students and their families.”
