Duke of Edinburgh Award

For two whole days last week, our year 9 Bronze Award candidates spent their time learning the basic skills of first aid and pitching tents with Mr Kirsten, to help complete their training in advance of their expeditions. Students set up camp on the school grounds, cooked their lunches on an open flame and practised first aid skills stabilising patients who had been in accidents outdoors.
