Duke of Edinburgh Training

From Assistant Head, Mr Johnson:

“We launched this year’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition season last week, with an impressive group of 38 Year 9 students successfully completing their Bronze Award training. This included an overnight camp, alongside developing essential navigation skills using maps. The instructors were particularly impressed by the students’ positive attitude, teamwork and willingness to engage throughout the training. Next week, a group of Year 10 students will undertake their Silver Award training, and both cohorts – along with our Sixth Form Gold Award participants – will go on to complete their Qualifying Expeditions in the final half term, building on the excellent start already made.”
