Year 9 STEM Challenge
From Teacher of Science, Ms Baker:
“We recently took eight Year 9 students to the University of Manchester to take part in a STEM challenge. Students were able to participate in three events that included programming robots, creating forensic E-fit portraits of crime suspects and developing diagnostic skills based on patient symptoms. They were put into groups with students from other schools where they showed excellent collaboration and teamwork. Teams containing Trinity students won two out of the three individual challenges as well as the overall prize for the day and are therefore invited to the finals next year!”
