Macbeth

Assistant Head and Head of English, Ms Kirkham, tells us about a recent screening: “Well done to those Year 11 students who stayed behind after school last week to watch a performance of ‘Macbeth’ – filmed at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. At the end, they clapped along with the ‘real’ audience and had lots of opinions about how the play had been directed to emphasise key themes and characteristics. They not only enjoyed the popcorn but hopefully it helped them prepare for their Literature Paper 1 mock exam (‘Macbeth’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’) that will take place on Monday 2nd March 2020.”
